In the Harry Potter series, Sirius Black's family tapestry is a big piece of cloth hanging on the wall in the Blacks' home in London, called Grimmauld Place. The tapestry shows the Black family genealogical tree which dates back several generations.
In history, Sirius Black's family tapestry has been the subject of much argument, as it shows all Black family members, including many of whom are well-known to have been followers of Voldemort. Sirius Black himself was expelled from his family because he didn't want to follow their way of thinking and sided with the Phoenix Order.
Sirius Black's family tapestry is also important because, during the war against Voldemort, the Blacks' house in Grimmauld Place was used as Phoenix Order headquarters, therefore a place of refuge and organization for the fight against the Death Eater.
