Sirius Black is the eldest son and heir of the noble Black House, a wizarding lineage that strongly believed in purebloods supremacy, so much so that it repudiated any family member who had whatever bound with Muggle and half-bloods. His own parents were second cousins and, obviously, all Blacks were Slytherin.. all except Sirius. Since the beginning rebellious and disgusted by the family's beliefs, Sirius knew James in a Hogwarts Express wagon and a strong understanding was immediately born between the two: both sorted in Gryffindor, they were model students, excellent in all subjects and always out and about the castle to explore and cause disaster. They were soon joined by Remus Lupin and Peter Minus, who completed the Marauders quartet.
