Luna Lovegood, currently Luna Scamander, was a witch and the only daughter of Pandora and Xenophilius Lovegood. Her mother accidentally died when she was nine years old leaving her in the care of her father, the Quibblers' editor. They live in Ottery St. Catchpole, in Devon. Luna Lovegood attended the Hogwarts School of Magic and Witchcraft and was sorted in Ravenclaw. She became the only close friend No-Gryffindor of Harry Potter when she joined Dumbledores' army. She took part in the Department Mysteries Battle and Astronomy Tower Battle, and after that, she contributed to reliving Dumbledores' army when Lord Voldemort took control and placed Severus Snape as Hogwart's Principal.
Later, she survived the Hogwarts battle showing her great magic skill.
